Morumbi Town shopping center is a miniature city within the neighborhood. The project was designed to prioritize spacious and green areas. With a gross leasable area of 30,800 m² and a built-up area of approximately 100,000 m², the building has four floors of shops, including 103 stores and 20 kiosks, as well as six levels of parking with a capacity for 1,400 vehicles. The challenge of building on a confined plot with heavy traffic of vehicles and people required creative and advanced technical solutions.
With pillars spliced in some points of the building that reach 38 meters, engineers and architects were able to create an imposing and functional structure.
The shopping center’s architecture is marked by the presence of large atriums, internal squares, multilevel balconies, and green elements, which give the environment a city-like feel. Another striking feature is the concrete panels with high relief, with shadow and volume effects.
To optimize space on a reduced plot, a system of two helical ramps with opposite directions was designed to intersect one inside the other. In addition, the parking closures were designed in a sustainable way, with the use of vegetal brises that ensure gains in thermal comfort, air quality, and aesthetics, as well as reducing the impact of noise for nearby neighbors.
The shopping center’s architecture is marked by the presence of large atriums, internal squares, multilevel balconies, and green elements, which give the environment a city-like feel. Another striking feature is the concrete panels with high relief, with shadow and volume effects.

Natural lighting was also a constant concern in the project conception, which uses skylights and frames as closure elements to bring natural light into the interior of the building.
The arrangement of stores in spacious and well-lit corridors provides a pleasant and unique shopping experience.
