COWORKING 723

Year: 2015
Area: 135 sqm
Floors: 3
Type: Commercial
Location: Rua Dr. Franco da Rocha – Perdizes, São Paulo/SP
The redevelopment of an old building can be a challenge, but also an opportunity to create a shared space that meets the needs of different audiences.

That’s what happened with a building that went through several occupations over time, from residence to restaurant.
With three floors, the building had to be adapted to accommodate a coworking space, which includes collective worktables and individual rooms to meet the demands of professionals seeking a shared environment.

For this purpose, a central staircase was created that also serves as a grandstand, connecting the two floors and promoting interaction among the space users. In addition to the coworking space, the ground floor was transformed into an independent café, open to the general public.

This is a way to bring movement and life to the building, as well as to offer a leisure and food option for space users and the general public.

To promote interaction among space users, entertainment and happy hour areas were created in the lateral yard and on the building’s terrace.
As in any work environment, it is important to offer structure and amenities for space users.

Therefore, collective bathrooms, pantry, and meeting rooms were added to meet the needs of professionals who use the space.

In addition, an area for a hostess was created, which serves as a support point for space users, offering guidance and assistance whenever necessary.

Finally, to improve lighting and integration with the surroundings, openings were created on the facades to improve lighting and integration with the surroundings, resulting in a welcoming and pleasant space that encourages collaboration and exchange of experiences.
