Parque Shopping Maia is a project located at the intersection of Avenida Bartolomeu de Carlos and Rua Dona Tecla, near Parque Maia, in a privileged area of the city. The development was designed to balance public and private scales, with a parametrized facade built with triangles of the same dimension and maximum use of metal coil as a result of an experiment with BIM tool, our office’s standard.
The facade of Parque Shopping Maia has a vertical truss structure that provides its organic shape, as well as improving the efficiency of the air conditioning system, creating an air cushion that provides superior thermal efficiency on the north facade.
This system not only makes the facade more efficient but also contributes to the aesthetics of the development, which stands out for its originality and innovation.
In addition to aesthetics, the Parque Shopping Maia project also prioritized the optimization of the use of precast concrete structures, ensuring speed and standardization of its skeleton. With an area of 89,000 sqm distributed over six floors, the development has ample corridors that provide a sense of visual unity with multi-level visibility.
The goal is to create a refined environment with bold facades and more qualified characteristics. Another important feature of the Parque Shopping Maia project is its concern for sustainability.
