Architecture is an art that transcends the mere creation of aesthetically pleasing buildings. It must be able to meet the needs of users and adapt to the environment around it. This is the case with the redevelopment of a building designed for corporate floors in the 1970s, which has been transformed into a space that meets the needs of young residents. Located near university centers, the building was designed to provide unique and differentiated experiences to users.
The facade has been completely redesigned, with the creation of balconies that allow for greater natural light entry and generate a sense of spaciousness in the spaces.

The conception of the ground floor, mezzanine, and basement was collectively thought out to serve both the building’s residents and the city around it through the businesses and services installed in these spaces.

The building has six floors, each with residential units of different sizes, allowing it to serve a larger number of users. The units have an open plan, which allows for a dynamic layout and customization according to the residents’ needs.

In addition, an entire floor was reserved for collective practices, with study rooms, games, cinema, laundry, and a Beauty Center. These spaces are ideal for coexistence and socialization, creating an integrated and harmonious community.
On the roof of the building, a gym, gourmet kitchen, and pool with a solarium complete the users’ experience, providing a leisure and relaxation environment. The building structure was designed to allow the integration of the building’s people with its surroundings. The opening of the ground floor for public use allows permeability in the lot, with two shops that serve the residents and neighbors of the neighborhood.

The intermediate and interspersed levels of floors separate residential and office uses by different levels, solving the unified vertical circulation for the building’s different uses, generating safety and ordering of common spaces.

The architectural design was thought out to offer a unique and differentiated experience to users, allowing the customization of spaces according to each resident’s needs. The redevelopment of this building is an example of how architecture can be used to create spaces that meet users’ needs while dialoguing with the environment in which they are inserted.
