The architecture of hospitals is essential to guarantee the quality of the service provided, given the constant evolution of technology and medicine. In the case of Indianópolis Hospital, we developed a retrofit project to renovate and adapt the entire building, including operational, technical, social, and administrative areas, according to the entrepreneur’s needs. Our main goal was to combine technology, comfort, safety, and aesthetics in the hospital’s renovation.
Together with the management group, we chose new color schemes that blend in with the vast green area and trees surrounding the building. This way, we were able to create a visual identity that conveys the sobriety and tranquility that the hospital environment requires.

One of the main features of the building designed in the 1950s that we kept in our project was the brise soleil, which allows natural lighting to enter the common areas and beds, in addition to offering visual comfort.

This element was renovated and gained a new tone that reinforces the hospital’s new visual identity. With this, we were able to create a more welcoming and comfortable environment for patients and employees.

In addition to the common areas and beds, we also renovated the hospital’s operational areas, including the surgical center, ICU, pharmacies, clinics, and outpatient clinic. Our goal was to make these spaces more functional and comfortable for patients and employees, without neglecting safety and service efficiency.
The technical areas were also included in our project. We renovated the chemotherapy pharmacy, the CME (Central Sterilization Material), the DML (Cleaning Material Deposit), and the ATRS (Health Waste Technical Area).

These areas are essential to ensure the protection and effectiveness of the hospital’s services, and our team dedicated itself to making them more organized and functional.

Finally, we renovated the social and administrative areas, creating more pleasant and comfortable spaces for patients, visitors, and employees. This included the renovation of the cafeteria, reception, waiting rooms, bathrooms, and administrative areas.

Our goal was to make these spaces more welcoming and humanized, so that people feel more comfortable and at ease during their stay at the hospital.
