This project involves the renovation of a 1960s Volkswagen dealership, adapting the building to current operational, commercial, and global brand identity standards. The building consists of a ground floor and a mezzanine. The ground floor houses the new vehicle showroom and the used vehicle showroom, organized in two distinct design and construction phases.
The first phase includes the facade and the new vehicle showroom, while the second phase encompasses the warehouse for used vehicles, allowing the dealership to continue operating during the construction phase.
The firm was responsible for developing the detailed design, based on the preliminary design by Luiz Volpato Arquitetura, carrying out the technical detailing, coordination between disciplines, and the necessary construction definitions.
The interventions include the complete replacement of coverings, ceilings, window frames, and lighting systems, as well as updating the electrical, plumbing, sewage, air conditioning, data network, and security infrastructure, ensuring the dealership’s full functionality in accordance with current requirements.
The interior layout was reorganized according to the brand’s standards, prioritizing the quality of the customer experience and the efficiency of service. The proposal expanded the lounge and café area and the new vehicle delivery area, in addition to reconfiguring the vehicle and accessory display spaces. The service areas, including the sales desks, were positioned on the side of the store, allowing the central focus of the space to be the vehicle display. The project also included the expansion of the restrooms and the addition of an elevator for access to the mezzanine, ensuring accessibility.
One of the main interventions was the implementation of a new metal structure to raise the roof, creating a double-height ceiling in the store’s entrance area, enhancing the main access, increasing natural lighting, and improving spatial perception. The result is a more efficient, functional commercial space, better suited to contemporary demands.
